2027 Quitman (GA) Brooks County WR George Lamons Jr. commits to Texas A&M
Mike Elko and Texas A&M continue to build momentum on the recruiting front, and on the day of the Maroon & White Game, they kick off the 2027 recruiting class with a big get from the Peach state as Quitman (GA) standout George Lamons Jr announced his Texas A&M commitment.
Lamons checks in at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, and he has been a versatile standout at Brooks County High School. A big physical receiver, he caught 62 passes for 1,340 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2024.
He chose the Aggies over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Tennessee, and he is regarded as one of the top up-and-coming prospects in the 2027 class.
In addition to attending A&M's spring game, Lamons also visited in March, and he was offered following an early February visit.
