Former Oklahoma guard Duke Miles has announced his commitment to Texas A&M.

At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Miles averaged 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals as a senior for the Sooners. He shot 51.4 percent from the field, 43 percent from 3-point range and 83.1 percent at the free throw line.

Miles spent the first three seasons of his career at Troy, where he was poised to lead the Trojans in scoring before suffering a season-ending injury in November.

After transferring to High Point to play for Alan Huss in 2023, Miles broke out as one of the best scorers at the mid-major level, averaging 17.5 points and 3.6 assists per game. He earned 2023-24 All-Big South First-Team honors and made the 2024 All-Big South Tournament Team. He finished second in points per game, third in assists, fourth in steals, first in field goals, second in player efficiency rating, second in win shares per 40 minutes, first in offensive rating and second in points produced per game across the Big South.

Miles took his game to the next level by transferring to the SEC to play for Porter Moser and the Sooners by being their third-leading scorer behind two future NBA players.

The Montgomery, Ala., native beat Bucky McMillan’s final Mountain Brook team in the Alabama 7A State Championship game in 2020. McMillan was hired at Samford after Miles beat him in his final game at the high school level.

If any dentists in the Bryan-College Station area would like to offer Miles an NIL deal, go right ahead. He lost a few of his front teeth diving for the ball in a game earlier this season against Mississippi State.

Miles arrives in Aggieland with one year of eligibility left.
